Galangan kapal di Batam kembali dipercaya membangun kapal negara. PT Palindo Marine yang berlokasi di Seilekop, Sagulung dipercaya membangun kapal Hidro-Oseanografi Ocean Going (BHO) pesanan Kementerian Pertahanan RI.

Kontrak proyek pengadaan kapal pada Desember 2022 ini sudah mulai dikerjakan. Seremonial starting of steel cutting yang dilaksanakan di galangan PT Palindo Marine, Jumat (15/9) menandai awal pengerjaan kapal ini.

Kapal ini akan dilengkapi dengan teknologi yang lebih canggih lagi dari kapal serupa sebelumnya. Badan Sarana Pertahanan (Baranahan) Kementerian Pertahanan (Kemhan) Brigjen TNI Heru Sudarminto mengatakan kapal ini akan dibangun dengan teknologi yang sangat canggih.

Pengerjaan kapal ini menggandeng kerja sama dengan perusahaan Galangan Kapal Abeking & Rasmussen asal Jerman. Mereka akan membantu memenuhi peralatan dan teknologi canggih yang dibutuhkan dalam kapal tersebut.

Kapal ini memiliki panjang 105 meter, lebar 17,4 meter, dan draft kapal 4,5 meter. Kapal ini direncanakan dapat berlayar dengan kecepatan 16 knot dengan dua propeller.
