Community Response
Approximately 20 concerned citizens, including Bob Sivak, a retired fire chief, organized action committees to address the issues with mail services in Dickinson.
They approached the local post office demanding answers and immediate solutions to the delayed deliveries in the region.
Sivak and his neighbors visited the post office seeking answers, but were refused to speak with more than two residents from the group.
The post office officials told them that the shortage of personnel and a focus on package delivery were contributors to the delays.

Residents in Zone 11 were informed that their mail might only be delivered if time allows, with the post office stating that "package delivery is the priority."
In response, Sivak and other concerned citizens contacted congressional representatives, including Senators Kevin Cramer and John Hoeven, Representative Kelly Armstrong, and Governor Doug Burgum.
They received a good response from these offices, with follow-up emails or phone calls, and even some questions and political pressure put locally, which led to some improvements for a bit.
However, ongoing issues have led to renewed concerns and a loss of trust in the postal service among the community.
