Tracy Arm fjord is 50 miles southeast of Juneau, Alaska.

Located off Holkham Bay, it's adjacent to Stephen's Passage.

Tracy Arm and Endicott Arm are part of the vast Tracy Arm-Fords Terror Wilderness.

Twin Sawyer Glaciers, North and South, fill Tracy Arm with ice.

Cruise Experience

The Tracy Arm Fjord & Glacier Explorer excursion is a must-do experience for any Holland America cruise to Tracy Arm Inlet. You'll board a high-speed catamaran that transfers you to the vessel directly from your cruise ship.

The tour lasts approximately 6 hours and is suitable for all ages, with an easy activity level. However, it's not advisable for guests using a wheelchair, as the vessel is not wheelchair accessible.

You'll cruise beneath cliffs that rise 4,000 feet above the jade-colored sea and feel the mist on your face as the vessel maneuvers almost directly under a plunging waterfall. The on-board naturalist will provide a wealth of information about the area, which naturalist John Muir called 'one of the most dramatically stunning fjords of Southeast Alaska'.

You can enjoy a variety of complimentary food samples served by the friendly Alaskan crew as you trace the rugged shores of Stephens Passage on the cruise back to Juneau. Be sure to dress warmly in layers to fully enjoy the outside observation deck, and don't forget to bring a hat, gloves, and a scarf.

If unpredictable and ever-changing ice conditions preclude your cruise ship from entering Tracy Arm Fjord, the tour will be modified to explore Endicott Arm – a fjord and tidewater glacier of equal beauty. Wildlife sightings are likely but not guaranteed, so keep your camera ready.

Here's a summary of the excursion details:

You'll disembark right next to your cruise ship in downtown Juneau, making it easy to return to your ship after the excursion.
