Operating the Liftgate
To open the liftgate, you'll need to approach it with your key fob, staying within 10 feet of the back of the vehicle. This will trigger the chimes and flashing exterior lights.

You can cancel the opening of the liftgate by using the exterior Liftgate touchpad or stepping out of the 3-foot area for a few seconds.

AutoSense Features
The rear liftgate on our vehicle is equipped with AutoSense features that make loading and unloading cargo a breeze.
With the available AutoSense Parking Distance Control, you can park with confidence, knowing that the system will detect obstacles and alert you if you get too close.
The system also includes a rearview camera, which provides a clear view of the area behind the vehicle, making it easier to maneuver in tight spaces.
Open Your Hands-Free
You can open your liftgate hands-free with a kick or a key fob.

To open with a kick, approach the liftgate with your key fob in hand, pocket, or bag. The logo projection will turn on automatically when you're within 6 feet of the rear of your vehicle.
Kick straight over the logo, making sure to come within 5 inches of the bumper but not making contact. Your kick should be an "in" and "out" motion that takes only a second. Sweeping the foot side to side or stepping on the logo projection won't activate the sensor.
The liftgate will open after giving you time to safely step away, with the rear lights flashing and a sound chiming to alert you. You can also use a kicking motion to close the liftgate.
If you prefer to use your key fob, simply approach the liftgate from farther than 10 feet, and when you're within 3 feet, chimes will sound and the exterior lights will flash. If you stay in that area for four chimes, the liftgate will open unless cancelled.
Reactivating AutoSense

If you've accidentally turned off AutoSense, don't worry, it's easy to reactivate. To get started, you'll need to remain at least 10 feet away from the vehicle for over 20 seconds.
This allows the system to reset and prepare for the next time you want to use AutoSense. After that, simply approach the rear of the vehicle with your key fob from a distance of at least 10 feet.
The liftgate will then be ready to use with AutoSense functionality. If you've muted your key fob, you'll need to follow the steps for Reactivating the AutoSense Power Liftgate Feature to unmute it first.
