A gift wrap cabinet is a game-changer for any gift-giver. It keeps your wrapping paper, cards, and other supplies organized and within reach, making it easier to find what you need when you need it.

For a stylish and functional cabinet, consider a design with adjustable shelves to accommodate different sizes of wrapping paper rolls. This feature is especially useful if you have a mix of large and small rolls.

Having a dedicated space for gift wrapping supplies can also help reduce clutter in your home. By keeping your wrapping station organized, you'll be able to find what you need quickly and easily.

Organization and Storage

A well-organized gift wrap cabinet can make a huge difference in your wrapping experience. You can easily find space for your gift wrap station in a garage, like I did, and still have room for other things.

Having a dedicated space for gift wrapping is crucial, and a cabinet with wrap-around shelves is a great idea. My husband built a cabinet with shelves and drawers to store all my gift wrap supplies. The bottom half of the cabinet has two plastic drawers and one metal drawer.

The metal drawer is perfect for storing rolls of gift wrapping paper, and I like looking at the pretty paper when I open the cabinet. The plastic drawers are great for storing ribbon and bows, and the bows are color grouped and separated by inexpensive shoe boxes.

Here's a breakdown of the storage options:

Having a gift wrap station on wheels is also a great idea, as it can be easily moved to different locations in your home or garage. This makes it easy to wrap gifts in different rooms or areas, and it's also super easy to store the cart in a closet when not in use.

Drawers

Using drawers in a gift wrapping station is a great way to keep supplies organized. The example shows how to categorize supplies into separate drawers, such as one for tape, cards, and tags, and another for velvet ribbon.

You can store a variety of gift wrapping supplies in drawers, including tape dispensers and cards.

Consider using a kitchen cart for a gift wrapping station instead of a traditional storage piece, as it can be repurposed in other ways.

Having a gift wrapping station is a dream come true for many of us. But, let's be real, it's not just about having a pretty space to wrap gifts. It's about having everything you need in one place, making the process as smooth as possible.

You can store your ribbon and bows in a drawer, like I do, and keep them color grouped and separated by inexpensive shoe boxes. This way, you can easily find the perfect bow to match your gift.

If you have limited space, consider using a bookcase or cabinet with dowels to hold your gift wrap and/or ribbon spools. You can nail the scrap wood pieces into the side of the bookcase and use cup hooks to hold the dowels in place.

A gift wrap organizer can also be a great addition to your wrapping station. You can hang it on a wall or door and store up to 12 rolls of gift wrap. Simply insert a roll of gift wrap over a curtain rod and place it into the cup hooks.

For storing your wrapping paper, you can use bins or baskets like I do. I have a pair of 12" x 12" bins that hold bundles of tissue paper and small to medium-sized gift bags. This way, everything is neatly organized and easy to access.

Here's a rough guide to help you plan your wrapping station shelves:

Remember, the key to a great wrapping station is to keep everything organized and easily accessible. By storing your supplies in a logical and visually pleasing way, you'll be able to wrap gifts in no time.

DIY and Customization

If you're looking to make the most of your gift wrap cabinet, consider adding a DIY gift wrap organizer to hang on a wall or door. This can help keep your wraps tidy and within reach.

The size of the gift wrap frame is 33-1/2″ wide x 39″ long, which can accommodate up to 12 rolls of gift wrap. You can see how nicely the curtain rod ends fit into the hooks, and the caps on the ends of the rods keep them in place.

To make the most of this space, you'll need to add cup hooks - 16 of them to be exact, if you have 8 rolls of gift wrap like I do.
