Holiday Schedule Changes
The holiday season is upon us, and with it comes some changes to our trash pickup schedule. No garbage or recycling collections will take place on Christmas Day, December 25 or New Year's Day, January 1.
If you're a resident who usually has trash pickup on Friday, you'll need to roll out your carts two days early. This means placing your carts out on Wednesday, December 23 and Wednesday, December 30 instead of your usual Friday collection days.

Sanitation Services is working hard to ensure that the public is aware of these changes, as the last time this schedule was in place during a holiday was in 2009. This is to prevent carts from being left on the curb for an extended period of time.
McCommas Bluff Landfill and the city's transfer stations will also be closed on Christmas and New Year's, so be sure to plan accordingly. You can drop off your Christmas trees at Home Depot, but be sure to remove all tinsel, ornaments, lights, nails, and stand first.
Garbage and recycling collections will be delayed by one day during the weeks of December 25 and January 1. If your trash usually gets picked up on Monday, it'll come on Tuesday instead, and so on.
