The company was established to handle the transportation of LNG gas produced by NLNG.
BGT has been successfully transporting LNG gas to its customers since its inception in 1989.
Nigeria Operations

Bonny Gas Transport has commissioned four new LNG vessels to boost its share of the growing global market.
The vessels, dual fuel diesel electric (DFDE) LNG carriers, will be deployed to Nigeria LNG (NLNG) before the end of December.
NLNG, the operator of the Bonny Island plant, has an overall capacity of 22 Million Tonnes Per Annum (mtpa) of LNG.
The Bonny Island facility has six operational trains, with NLNG planning for additional trains to increase production capacity by 40 percent to some 30 million tonnes annually.
The NLNG shipping capacity must grow to meet the demands of this expansion, with the company currently planning for additional trains.
The four commissioned vessels, LNG Bonny II and LNG Lagos II, and LNG Finima II and LNG Port-Harcourt II, have a capacity of 177,000 cbm and 175,000 cbm respectively.
The vessels are 299 meters long and 293 meters long, with a width of 48 meters.

This partnership has enabled Bonny Gas Transport to expand its services and reach a wider customer base.
Bonny Gas Transport has also partnered with the Port Harcourt Refinery to transport LPG from the refinery to various locations in Nigeria.
